A More Reliable Gluten Sensitivity Test
Just like a lot of you, until recently I thought that blood screening and biopsy test were the most accurate tests for revealing gluten sensitivity. It turns out that they are somewhat accurate when the gluten sensitivity has become a full-blown Celiac disease with wide-spread damage to the villi.
There is another, far more accurate test for EARLY DETECTION of gluten sensitivity - before the severe damage has occurred!

There is another, far more accurate test for EARLY DETECTION of gluten sensitivity - before the severe damage has occurred! It is not invasive, and what’s even better, most health insurances will reimburse you! (Please, keep in mind that I and Viitals are not affiliated with the lab, performing this test in any way. I just wanted to share the news.)
Follows an excerpt from a talk given by Kenneth Fine, M.D. in June 2003.
“You’ve heard the intestinal biopsy called the gold standard; well as you can see, it is a 50 year-old test, and thus, the “old” standard. It was not until the 1970’s and 80’s (and improved upon in the 1990’s) that blood tests for antigliadin and antiendomysial/antitissue transglutaminase were developed, but again these tests like all methods before, can reliably reveal only the heart attack equivalent of the intestinal celiac syndrome: significant villous atrophy, bad celiac disease.”
If you want to read the entire essay (and, I highly recommending, although it’s quite long), you can find it here: Early Diagnosis Of Gluten Sensitivity: Before the Villi are Gone.
And, it looks like the only lab currently performing this test is the Enterolab - http://www.enterolab.com. Even if you have to pay for the test, it is not that expensive, I think.
Again, neither Viitals nor any of the staff members are affiliated with the lab, mentioned above. We are just spreading the word in hopes that someone (even one person) can find answers to their long-time questions, and remedy to their long-time problems, for which they (and their doctors) couldn’t find explanation before.
